This week at our Art table students have been invited to paint a picture of themselves. We took a look at some famous self-portraits done by artists like Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh. Self-portraits are fun because it is a personal interpretation of how you see yourself. Students were given mirrors to examine the details in their features, like checking the colour of their eyes. It was a good exercise to practice adding details to our drawings – the things that we sometimes forget, like ears and necks 🙂 The finished pieces have turned out really good!
